Description
A pair of solid sterling silver teaspoons in the Candlelight pattern produced by Towle Silversmiths. This pattern, introduced in 1934, features a traditional design with delicate floral and foliate scrollwork along the handle edges surrounding a polished, plain central panel. The spoons have ovoid-shaped bowls and a substantial, heavy-gauge construction. The reverse of each handle is stamped with the Towle maker mark, a stylized letter T containing a lion rampant, alongside the text TOWLE, STERLING, and the pattern name Candlelight in a script font. One spoon bears the additional mark Pat. 1934 and both feature a registered trademark R symbol. Length: 6 1/8 inches Weight: 104 grams (pair).
