Description
This pair of sterling silver teaspoons was produced by Towle Silversmiths in the Candlelight pattern, which was first patented in 1934. The design features a slender handle with a smooth central panel bordered by delicate embossed floral and scrolling foliage motifs. The handle terminates in a rounded, slightly flared tip. The bowls are oval in form. The reverse of each handle is stamped with maker and pattern marks. One spoon is marked with a hallmark symbol, TOWLE, STERLING, Pat. 1934, R, and Candlelight. The other spoon is marked with a hallmark symbol, TOWLE, STERLING, R, and Candlelight. Length: 6 inches Weight: 52 grams.
