Description
A photomechanical lithographic reproduction of a watercolor painting titled Cliffside Road by American Impressionist artist Paul Sawyier. The landscape scene depicts a rural road near Shakertown, Kentucky, featuring a weathered wooden picket gate in the foreground, a tall central tree trunk, and the distant silhouette of the High Bridge spanning the Kentucky River gorge. The work is executed in the artist’s signature impressionistic style characterized by soft washes and dappled light. A facsimile signature reading PAUL SAWYIER is visible in the lower-left corner of the image. The print is housed in a gilt and ebonized wood frame with a double mat in cream and dark green. The verso includes a label for the Frankfort Blue Print Co. and an attached envelope containing a descriptive authentication brochure from Paul Sawyier Galleries, Inc.
