Description
A limited edition color print titled Covered Bridge in Autumn, after a watercolor by Kentucky artist Paul Sawyier (1865–1917). The composition features a nostalgic American street scene with a trolley car, horse-drawn carriage, and the entrance to a covered bridge under autumn foliage. A facsimile artist signature is located in the lower left. The verso includes an authentication certificate from Paul Sawyier Galleries, Inc., of Frankfort, Kentucky, certifying the piece as one of a limited edition of 2,000 collector prints. The certificate is dated 1974 and hand-signed in blue ink by Joseph R. Discher. The work is presented in a fabric-textured mat and housed in a gold-toned molded wood frame with a framer stamp for Warrens Glass Company on the reverse.Overall framed size: 20 1/4 x 25 1/4 inches.
