Description
This work is a limited edition offset lithograph print titled From the Quarry, after a watercolor by American Impressionist artist Paul Sawyier. The scene depicts a rural dirt road with a horse-drawn wagon and driver, flanked by a rustic wooden fence and mature trees. The composition is rendered in an Impressionist style with soft washes of green, brown, and ochre on paper. A printed signature is visible in the lower left corner transcribed as PAUL SAWYIER, and the print is hand-numbered in the upper right as 1654 / 2000. The piece is presented in a decorative gold-toned composite frame with a double mat of navy blue and burgundy. A label on the paper-covered verso identifies the framer as Jessie’s Art Gallery & Custom Framing in Frankfort, Kentucky. Outer Frame Dimensions: 26.5 x 20.25 inches.
