Description
This work is a limited edition offset lithograph print after a watercolor original by the American Impressionist artist Paul Sawyier. The scene, titled Louisville Road, depicts a winding dirt road flanked by a rustic wooden fence and a rocky embankment under a canopy of summer trees. The artwork is signed in the plate at the lower left and hand-numbered in pencil 1192/2000 at the lower right. It is presented in a double mat with a cream outer layer and a thin green inner border. The piece is housed in a gilded, molded wood frame featuring a decorative black spatter finish. The verso of the frame is sealed with brown paper and includes a small adhesive label inscribed with the title Louisville Road.Overall frame dimensions: 22.5 x 15.5 inches.
