Description
An antique stoneware shoulder jug, also known as a harvest or field jug, featuring a cylindrical body tapering to a rounded shoulder and a narrow neck. The jug is equipped with two applied loop handles on the shoulder which secure a wire bail handle with a turned wooden grip. It is finished in a uniform light tan Bristol-style glaze. The shoulder bears an impressed mark in two lines reading MADE IN U.S.A. Height to neck: 9 inches Total height with handle: 12.5 inches Diameter at widest Point: 7.5 inches.
