Description
A 3-gallon cylindrical stoneware crock manufactured by the Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Co. of Roseville, Ohio. The exterior is finished in a light cream-colored Bristol-style glaze, while the interior features a dark brown glaze characteristic of an Albany-type slip. The side of the crock is decorated with a cobalt blue stenciled crown trademark. The center of the crown contains a circular medallion with the numeral 3, indicating the vessel’s capacity. The letters U.S.A. are stenciled in blue below the crown. The underside of the base is marked with an impressed U.S.A. stamp. Height: 10.5 inches Diameter: 10.5 inches.
