Description
This is a vintage two-piece covered glass dish manufactured by Avon Products, Inc., commonly referred to as a hen-on-nest. The set includes a lid molded in the form of a hen with detailed feathering, composed of white milk glass with a pearlescent iridescent finish. The base is made of yellow-toned glass with a satin finish, featuring a molded basketweave pattern and a rope-twist border at the foot. The underside of the base is marked with two raised rectangular stamps: the upper mark reads AVON and the lower mark contains the number 9. Length: 4.25 inches Height: 3.75 inches.
