Description
This antique American stoneware jug is attributed to Meyer Pottery of Atascosa, Texas, based on its distinctive yellowish-buff clay and salt-glazed finish. The vessel features an ovoid body that tapers to a narrow neck with a simple rolled rim. A single strap handle is applied at the neck and shoulder. The exterior surface shows the characteristic orange-peel texture and minor pitting common to salt-glazed stoneware. There are no visible maker marks, stamps, or capacity numbers on the body or base of the item.Height: Approximately 13.5 inchesWidth: Approximately 9 inches.
