Description
A collection of hand-woven utility baskets representing various traditional basketry techniques from the late 19th to early 20th centuries. The assortment includes a large buttocks or gizzard-style frame basket crafted from heavy willow with a prominent diamond-woven god’s eye pattern at the handle joints. Also included are wood splint baskets, including a rectangular piece with a fixed upright handle and a larger circular basket with a flat wooden handle and wrapped rim. The grouping also features a medium-sized round wicker basket with a dark-stained finish and a thick, twisted handle. No maker’s marks, labels, or signatures are present on any of the items.
