Materials used in construction include natural willow, unpeeled willow, wicker, and wood splint. Weaving techniques vary from traditional stake-and-strand to flat splint plaiting. Several items are configured as nested sets. Some baskets possess fixed arched handles, while others include swivel handles or are handle-less. One rectangular wood-splint basket features a black fabric ribbon tie. Finishes across the collection range from light natural wood tones to deep dark brown stains and a weathered gray finish. No maker’s marks, labels, or stamps are visible on any of the items.
