Lot 342:
Description
A large scale cast composition sculpture of a reclining hunting dog, depicted in a resting pose with its head turned to the right and front paws extended forward. The piece is rendered with detailed fur texture, particularly around the neck, chest, and tail, suggesting a setter or spaniel breed. It is finished with a dark, multi-toned brown and black cold-painted surface designed to simulate an antique bronze patina. The dog is integrated into a rustic, rock-textured base. The underside is unfinished, showing the raw grey and tan composition material. The bottom also features remnants of a white adhesive material or paper label that is no longer legible, along with two black felt protection pads.Length: 14 1/2 inchesHeight: 7 1/2 inchesWidth: 6 1/4 inches.
