Description
A group of vintage paper ephemera and advertising materials from Belknap, Inc., formerly located in Louisville, Kentucky. The collection features multiple unused product labels for the “Blue Grass” brand, characterized by red, white, blue, and gold color schemes. These labels include large rectangular formats and sheets of smaller individual stickers. One large red and blue label is printed with “The Nation’s Standard of Quality” and “Trade Mark BLUE GRASS Since 1840.” Several smaller labels feature “BELKNAP INC. LOUISVILLE, KY. 40232” printed in the margins. The assortment also contains various internal and customer-facing business forms, including a light blue telephone message pad with a graphic of a rotary phone and “Belknap, Inc. Form 9026” printed at the bottom. A white receipt pad is printed with “BELKNAP, INC. Louisville, Ky.” and “Form #9142.” The group further includes a yellow envelope printed with “No. M00-869-10 BLUE GRASS PRICE STICKERS,” two red and white “HANDLE WITH CARE CHINAWARE” shipping labels, a “Return-Goods Dept.” adjustment request form in pink, and a bright orange “RETURN GOODS AUTHORIZATION” label addressed to “OCOEE, FLA. 32761.” Label sheets measure approximately 10 to 12 inches in length.
