Description
A Springfield Model 511 side-by-side double-barrel shotgun chambered for 20 gauge shells. The firearm is constructed with blued steel barrels and a case-hardened receiver featuring a mottled blue, grey, and straw-colored finish. It utilized a double-trigger system and a top-tang slide safety. The furniture consists of a smooth-finished hardwood stock and forend with a black plastic buttplate. The right side of the receiver bears a stamped inscription reading SPRINGFIELD MODEL 511. A serial number, A699034, is stamped on the underside of the receiver forward of the trigger guard. A brown paper tag is attached to the trigger guard with handwritten text reading SPRINGFIELD Model 511 20 GA and SN: A699034. The shotgun is displayed resting on a lead shot bag from Taracorp Industries, Granite City, Illinois. Overall length: 45 1/4 inches.
