Description
An Audubon singing bird wall clock featuring a dark green plastic frame and a clear lens. The off-white dial displays twelve color illustrations of North American birds at each hour position with their common names: Summer Tanager (12), Song Sparrow (1), Purple Martin (2), American Goldfinch (3), Wood Thrush (4), Common Yellowthroat (5), Eastern Meadowlark (6), Carolina Wren (7), Eastern Bluebird (8), Red-winged Blackbird (9), Yellow Warbler (10), and Hermit Thrush (11). The dial features black spade-style hour and minute hands and a thin black second hand. Centered on the dial is a printed Audubon logo and a trademark notice reading Audubon and National Audubon Society are trademarks of National Audubon Society, Inc. The reverse features a white plastic housing with a molded mark reading MADE IN CHINA and an adhesive paper label regarding FCC Part 15 compliance. The clock is powered by three AA batteries, which operate the quartz movement and an integrated sound module with a speaker intended to play bird calls on the hour. A red push button for sound testing is located on the back.Across the widest point, the clock measures approximately 8 inches in diameter.
