Description
This contemporary figurative sculpture, titled Treasured Moment, is produced by Austin Sculpture and designed by the artist signing as Ecila. The piece is cast in a heavy composite material, such as durastone or resin, finished with a warm, bronze-toned metallic patina. The work depicts a tender scene featuring a Black mother and child. The woman is shown in a bust format with short, tightly textured hair and a single large hoop earring, her gaze directed downward at the infant she cradles. Both figures are enveloped in a textured, draped garment. The sculpture is mounted to a separate rectangular black composite plinth. On the reverse right shoulder of the female figure, there is a clear incised signature reading ECILA. The sculpture retains its original white card hang tag with black text identifying the manufacturer as Austin SCULPTURE.
