Description
A large-scale wall-mounted mixed-media assemblage piece featuring themes of space exploration, vintage computer technology, and religious devotion. The construction consists of a white-painted wooden shelving unit base, an aluminum-framed central display, and various mounted objects. The shelving unit contains four open cubbies housing an assortment of translucent 3.5-inch floppy disks in purple, blue, green, and orange. The shelf lip is decorated with printed labels reading VENUS, URANUS, NEPTUNE, EARTH, SATURN, MERCURY, MARS, and JUPITER, with a central sign reading TOYS FOR DISPLAY ONLY. The top of the shelf is populated with plastic NASA-themed models including a lunar lander, a lunar rover, an Apollo command module, and multiple astronaut figurines. Two conical brushed-metal objects are positioned at the sides.The central vertical aluminum frame holds a printed graphic designed to resemble a vintage Google search page for the query Where is GOD?. The print includes Bible verses from Psalms 139: 23-24 and Jeremiah 29: 13, under a colorful SOLAR SYSTEM logo. Mounted within the upper section of the frame is a vintage green computer circuit board with an integrated circuit chip marked OPTI. The board is connected to the frame by six green and black wires with red crimp terminals. Three small astronaut figurines are perched on the top of the frame. The entire piece is mounted against a decorative wall border featuring computer-related terms including GIGABYTE, C++, WYSIWYG, ISDN, FORUMS, and RAM.Width of the wooden shelving unit is approximately 22 1/2 inches.
