Description
A watercolor on heavy textured paper depicting a family of five African elephants, including two adults and three calves, in a savanna landscape with acacia trees. The work is executed in an illustrative style with a naturalistic color palette. The piece is signed in black pigment at the lower right of the image “NANCY SULLIVAN….”. An embossed blind stamp is visible in the lower left corner of the paper support that reads “ARCHES”. The painting is presented under glass in a stained oak-finish wood frame with a double mat consisting of a dark green outer mat and a cream inner mat.
