Description
A set of four porcelain collector plates from the Danbury Mint featuring artwork by M.J. Hummel. This collection includes three plates from the Little Companions series and one from the Gentle Friends series. The specific titles included are Stormy Weather, Apple Tree Boy & Girl, Little Explorers, and Favorite Pet. Each plate features a central color illustration of children in various outdoor settings, based on traditional Hummel motifs, and is finished with a gold-colored rim. The reverse of each plate displays the M.J. Hummel signature, the series and plate title, and a hand-inscribed production number. The backstamps also provide licensing information from ARS AG and a safety warning stating the plates are not for food use due to metallic pigments.
