Description
This limited edition offset lithograph by American artist C. Don Ensor (1930-2003) is titled Antique Sale. The work depicts a nostalgic rural scene featuring two weathered wooden structures situated on a grassy hill. The building on the left serves as an antique shop, adorned with signs for Antiques and Drink Double Cola, and various items displayed on the porch including lanterns, a quilt, and pottery. The blue-painted building on the right features a porch with an Adirondack-style chair and a red hand pump. The print is hand-signed in pencil by the artist in the lower right margin, situated above a printed copyright notice reading © C. Don Ensor 1986. The lower left margin is inscribed Plate XXXVIII and Print No. 112 of 500. The piece is professionally housed in a greenish-gold wood frame with a textured finish, featuring a cream and rust-colored double mat under glass. The reverse of the frame retains an original publisher label from Donart Inc., based in West Point, Kentucky, which includes the title and matching handwritten edition number 112. Overall framed dimensions: 29.5 inches wide by 24 inches high.
