Description
This still bank is modeled in the form of a woman with hands on hips, a design historically identified as an Aunt Jemima or Mammy figure. The object is a two-piece cast iron construction joined by a single flathead screw on the reverse. It features a cold-painted finish in red, white, and black. A horizontal coin slot is located on the upper back of the figure. No manufacturer marks, numbers, or symbols are present on the casting. This specific form is often attributed to early 20th-century American manufacturers such as A.C. Williams or Hubley. Height: 5 1/2 inches Width: 3 inches.
