This graphite drawing on off-white wove paper, titled Quincy Mine Memories, is by artist Judy Haskins Davis. The composition is a narrative montage centered on the historic Quincy Mine in Hancock, Michigan. It features detailed renderings of industrial structures including a large shaft house, an iron headframe, and a locomotive on rail tracks. A translucent, detailed portrait of an elderly woman is superimposed over the right side of the scene. The lower portion of the work incorporates a reproduction of a historical twenty-dollar draft from the Quincy Mine Co., dated April 18, 1870. The title Quincy Mine Memories is printed in small letters in the lower left quadrant. The work is hand-signed and dated in pencil Judy Haskins Davis 93 in the lower right corner, positioned below a printed version of the artist’s name.
