Description
An assortment of vintage items including travel luggage, University of Louisville sports memorabilia, and advertising containers. The collection features a mid-century style blue textured suitcase with silver-tone metal latches and a matching plastic handle. A second suitcase is a silver-tone metal travel case with a heavily distressed and oxidized finish, retaining a vintage paper luggage tag marked SDF for Louisville International Airport. Sports memorabilia includes a folding stadium seat with a red padded base and a white backrest featuring the University of Louisville Cardinals logo. Also included is a square white vinyl seat cushion commemorating the inaugural 1998 season of Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, featuring the stadium name and the Cardinal head logo. Advertising and utility items consist of a red one-gallon metal gasoline filler can manufactured by Eagle Manufacturing Company of Wellsburg, W. VA; a 1/2 gallon Dairy Brand ice cream tin from Harrisburg, PA, decorated with a horse-drawn carriage graphic; and a large cylindrical metal storage tin with a top wire handle and a heavy rusted patina.Blue suitcase: 21 inches in length.
