Description
This is a vintage dual-sided washboard manufactured by the National Washboard Co. with production origins in Memphis, Chicago, and Saginaw. The piece is constructed with a solid wood frame and a corrugated brass scrubbing surface. One face features stenciled branding for the No. 801 National model, reinforced with six vertical wooden dowels positioned over the metal. The reverse side is branded as The Brass King and includes the phrases Top Notch Soap Saving, Sanitary Front Drain, and The Board Will Do The Work. The design incorporates a wooden divider with notched cutouts for drainage. Height: 24 inchesWidth: 12 1/2 inches.
