Description
This pair of antique washboards is constructed with wooden frames and textured glass scrubbing surfaces. The first washboard features a wooden crest printed with National Washboard Co. No NATIONAL 512 along with the locations Saginaw, Chicago, and Memphis and the text TRADE MARKS REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. MADE IN U.S.A. Its glass surface is embossed with the word NATIONAL in a repeating pattern across the horizontal ridges. The second washboard features a matching ridged glass surface and is marked on the reverse side of the wooden crest with the word GLASS and No 80 in the corners. Both units utilize vertical side supports with extended legs and are held together with metal fasteners. Width: 12.5 inchesHeight: 24.5 to 25 inches.
