Description
This antique Universal Bread Maker No. 4 is a hand-operated kitchen appliance manufactured by Landers, Frary and Clark in New Britain, Connecticut. The set is constructed of galvanized and cast metal and consists of the main mixing bucket, a fitted lid with a central cast metal cross-piece, a detachable hand-crank with a black grip, and a separate screw-style table clamp. The lid features embossed instructional text including Put in all liquids first then flour, Turn 3 minutes, and Turn until dough forms a ball. The central bar identifies the manufacturer and lists various patent dates from June 2, 1903, to December 26, 1905.
