Description
This lot includes two decorative objects. The first is a Classical Revival style table lamp featuring a cast metal base with an aged gilt finish. The base is sculpted with a group of two putti flanking a central column that features a basket of grapes and fruit. The lamp is fitted with a frosted glass shade characterized by vertical ribbing and a flared, ruffled rim. The second object is a globular ceramic stoneware jug with a cream-colored glaze. The jug has a short neck and two small lug handles at the shoulder. The glaze exhibits typical manufacturing characteristics such as pitting and dark speckling. No maker marks were identified on either piece. Glass shade diameter: Approximately 6 inches Ceramic jug height: Approximately 10.5 inches.
