Description
A two-piece pressed glass covered dish in the form of a duck, attributed to L.G. Wright and likely manufactured by Fenton Art Glass. The lid features a head and neck molded from translucent amethyst purple slag glass with characteristic white marbling. This color transitions into an opaque white milk glass body characterized by detailed molded feather patterns. The separate oval base is constructed from opaque white milk glass. The exterior of the base is decorated with a complex molded pattern consisting of diagonal ribbing on the upper portion and a diamond-quilted or waffle-texture pattern on the lower half. The interior and underside of the base are smooth. No maker marks, logos, or signatures are visible on either piece. Length: 11.5 inches Height: 5.5 inches.
