Description
This vintage kerosene railroad lantern features a metal frame manufactured by Dressel of Arlington, New Jersey. The top chimney cap is embossed with the manufacturer name and location. The shoulder of the lantern is embossed with the initials B & O RR, signifying its use by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. The unit is fitted with a clear glass globe that is embossed Adlake Kero on one side and Macbeth on the opposite side. The construction includes a wire guard cage and a circular base with ventilation holes. The wire bail handle is attached to the frame and features stylized crimps for ease of carrying. The internal burner assembly and wick are present and visible through the globe. Base Diameter: 6 1/4 inches Total Height (with handle): 15 inches.
