SHIPPING NOT AVAILABLE, FOR PICK UP OR TRANSPORT ONLY – This is an antique upright mechanical butter churn featuring a lever-action design. The item is constructed of wood with a rectangular vertical body reinforced with iron strapping at the top and bottom. The mechanism consists of a long wooden lever handle attached to a pivot post, which drives a vertical wooden dash rod. The interior contains a folding dash agitator with multiple perforated wooden slats. The front of the wooden box is decorated with a white circular stencil that reads: FUNK’S / FOLDING DASH / CHURN / Manufactured by / THE [graphic symbol] CHAMPION / CHURN / & CO. / TOLEDO, OHIO. The base of the unit features four feet and additional decorative scrollwork stencils on the front and side panels. The wood retains a reddish-brown stained finish.
