Description
This antique kerosene oil lamp features a clear pressed glass pedestal base and fuel reservoir paired with a clear blown glass chimney. The square pedestal base is decorated with a pattern of alternating vertical rows of small beads and larger oval indentations. The font or reservoir displays a complementary paneled or fluted design. The lamp is equipped with a brass burner assembly. The thumbwheel on the burner is embossed with the markings SCOVILL MFG CO, WATERBURY, CONN around the perimeter and P & A, DORSET DIVN in the center. These marks identify the component as being manufactured by the Plume and Atwood Manufacturing Company of Waterbury, Connecticut. The lamp is complete with a cotton wick and a clear glass chimney of a standard bulbous form.Total height: 17 inchesBase width: 6 inches square.
