Description
This vintage electric mantel clock features an ornate cream-colored glazed ceramic case in the Rococo Revival style. The case is detailed with prominent scrolling, shell-like motifs, and a raised relief of two cherubs at the base. It is decorated with small multi-colored floral transfer decals on the shoulders and sides. The circular dial is protected by a convex glass lens with a brass-toned metal bezel. The face displays black Roman numerals and a central lace-like geometric pattern. Three hands are present: hour, minute, and a sweeping second hand. The dial is marked CLOCK MOVEMENT BY LANSHIRE CHICAGO ILL U.S.A. The rear metal movement plate is stamped CLOCK MOVEMENT BY LANSHIRE FOR A.C. ONLY 105 – 125 V. 60 CY 2 W.
