SHIPPING NOT AVAILABLE, FOR PICK UP OR TRANSPORT ONLY – This is a platform rocking chair, also known as a spring rocker, dating to the late 19th century. The chair is designed in the Victorian Eastlake style, featuring geometric turnings and decorative spindle work. The frame is constructed of a dark-stained hardwood and includes an ornate backrest with vertical spindles between horizontal rails, topped with decorative finials. The armrests are supported by thick, turned posts. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a beige floral jacquard fabric with a padded sling-style seat construction. The chair is mounted on a stationary platform base with a metal spring-rocking mechanism that allows for movement without floor runners.
