SHIPPING NOT AVAILABLE, FOR PICK UP OR TRANSPORT ONLY – An American antique slant-front secretary bookcase dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The piece is constructed from quarter-sawn oak, displaying a prominent tiger oak grain pattern throughout the primary surfaces, with secondary wood used for the back panels and interior drawer boxes. The upper section features a double-door cabinet with two glass panes and two adjustable-height wooden shelves. The top is finished with an overhanging flat cornice supported by two decorative scrolled corbels. The center desk section has a slant-front lid that opens to a single open compartment, resting on two manual pull-out supports. The lower case contains three graduated full-width drawers. The bottom two drawers feature a slight swell-front design, integrated into curved side supports that terminate in scrolled front bracket feet. The drawers are fitted with cast metal bail handles with white ceramic grips decorated with floral motifs. Brass-trimmed keyholes are present on the upper doors, the desk lid, and each drawer, although no keys are provided.
