Description
This photomechanical lithographic reproduction is after an original watercolor titled Winter Stream by American Impressionist artist Paul Sawyier (1865-1917). The composition depicts a tranquil winter scene featuring a flowing stream with ice floes in the foreground, a large deciduous tree with bare branches to the left, and a series of snow-covered buildings to the right. The print bears a printed facsimile signature and date of Paul Sawyier 1917 in the lower right corner. A comprehensive label on the verso from Paul Sawyier Galleries, Inc. of Frankfort, Kentucky, identifies the work and certifies it as a limited edition reproduction of 2,000, printed in 1969 by the Stevenson Photo Color Company. The print is presented in a gilt wood frame with a double mat.Framed dimensions: 23.5 x 20.25 inches.
