Description
This vintage hand-carved wooden cake stand set includes a cylindrical covered container and a matching circular tray. The set is crafted from a warm-toned hardwood, typically associated with monkey pod or acacia wood from Southeast Asia. Both the container wall and the outer rim of the tray are decorated with continuous relief carvings of tropical landscapes, featuring stilt houses, palm trees, and mountain peaks. The domed lid features a central turned knob and concentric carved borders. The tray functions as a rotating lazy Susan, with the underside revealing a circular footed base and a central recessed metal bolt.
