Description
This lot features a matching pair of mid-20th-century electric table lamps designed in a Victorian Revival style. Each lamp is composed of a tulip-shaped ruby glass hurricane shade, decorated with a frosted etched motif of grape clusters, leaves, and scrolling vines. The shades are supported by decorative metal galleries atop clear pressed glass bases. The base construction includes a scalloped bobeche with ten suspended elongated, faceted crystal prisms, a central vertically ribbed stem, and a flared circular foot featuring a double row of protruding hobnail-style glass beads. The metal electrical sockets are marked Leviton, Made in U.S.A., Press, 250W, and 250V.Height: 14 inchesWidth: 5.5 inches.
