Description
This lot features two vintage liquid fuel camping lanterns. The first is a Coleman Model 200A single-mantle lantern, characterized by its red painted fount and red porcelain enamel vent cap. The silver-tone collar is stamped with the Coleman sunburst logo, MADE IN U.S.A., model 200A, and PAT. NO. 2008882. It includes a red and yellow Coleman decal on the fount and a valve control disk with lighting instructions marked MADE IN U.S.A. The lantern is fitted with a glass globe embossed with the Pyrex and Coleman logos. The second lantern is an earlier style pressure lantern featuring a multi-pane mica chimney assembly within a metal frame. It consists of a plated steel fount and a perforated metal vent assembly with a top carrying ring. While there are worn markings visible on the fount near the pump, they are not clearly legible.
