Description
This is a single Winchester Model 69A bolt-action rifle chambered for .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle cartridges, designed as a classic rimfire sporting arm. The rifle features a 25-inch barrel with a blued finish that shows significant thinning, transition to a brown patina, and scattered surface oxidation throughout. The barrel is mounted to a smooth one-piece wood stock featuring a straight comb and a curved pistol grip, showing heavy scratching, multiple indentations, and significant finish wear consistent with extensive field use. Key markings transcribed from the barrel include New Haven, Conn. – Winchester – Model 69A – 22 S. L. OR L. R. – and Trade Mark. The firearm is equipped with a hooded ramp front sight and a rear elevator leaf sight. Two black tape bands are wrapped around the barrel and the forend of the stock. It includes a single detachable box magazine and a textured buttplate. The overall length is approximately 42.5 inches.
