Description
This lot features a Russian-made Baikal IZH-70 semi-automatic pistol, which is a commercial variant of the Makarov PM design chambered in .380 ACP. The firearm is equipped with a 3.7 inch barrel and operates via a straight blowback action. The pistol features a blued steel finish on both the slide and the frame. It is fitted with black checkered polymer wraparound grips that include a thumb rest on the left side, a circular star emblem, and the Baikal name in cursive script. The sighting system consists of a fixed front blade and a screw-adjustable rear sight. Prominent markings include the model and caliber designation IZH-70 cal..380ACP on the right side of the slide and Made in RUSSIA on the right side of the frame. The left side of the slide and the frame are both marked with the serial number BHT 8517. Importer markings for BIG BEAR ARMS DALLAS, TX are also present on the left side. This pistol comes with one magazine, its original Big Bear Arms Makarov branded cardboard box, and a brown leather flap holster. The overall length of the firearm is approximately 6 1/4 inches.
