Description
This lot features two vintage brass gasoline blowtorches manufactured by the Otto Bernz Co. of Rochester, New York. The first unit consists of a cylindrical brass tank with a flared base and a vertical burner assembly. The red-finished control wheel is embossed with OTTO BERNZ CO. ROCHESTER N.Y. It is fitted with a priming cup and a dark-finished wooden handle. The second unit features an oblong-style brass tank with an integrated side pump. It retains a large, multi-colored paper label printed with FAMOUS SINCE 1876, OTTO BERNZ, ALWAYS RELIABLE, AL. BRASS TANK, and ROCHESTER, N.Y., U.S.A. This torch includes a horizontal burner assembly and a wooden handle with significant original orange paint.
