Description
This antique still bank is constructed of cast iron and finished with a gold-tone bronzed wash. The piece is cast in the form of a standing elephant with its trunk lowered and curled inward. It features a two-part vertical seam construction typical of early 20th-century production and is secured by a single original flat-head screw on the left side. The coin slot is located along the upper ridge of the elephant’s back. The design and manufacturing techniques are consistent with the style of American manufacturers such as A.C. Williams or Hubley. No maker marks, symbols, or inscriptions are visible on the exterior surfaces of the casting. Height: Approximately 3 inches Length: Approximately 4.5 inches Width: Approximately 1.75 inches.
