The Dude Living Estate- Cast Iron, Gold, Range Rover & Atv's with Additions
Lot 556:
Description
This lot features two vintage American cast iron skillets of different sizes. The first skillet is a No. 6 size produced by the Griswold Manufacturing Co. of Erie, Pennsylvania. The underside bears the Griswold small logo, consisting of a cross within a circle. The name GRISWOLD is stamped horizontally across the cross, with ERIE in the top arm and PA. in the bottom arm. A pattern number, likely 699, is partially visible below the logo. The top of the handle is stamped with the numeral 6. This logo version was used by the company approximately between 1939 and 1957. The second skillet is a No. 8 size and is unmarked. It has a smooth underside and the numeral 8 stamped on the top of the handle. Both skillets are designed with dual pour spouts and integrated handles with teardrop-shaped hanging holes.
