Description
Manufactured by Pam Clock Co. Inc. of New Rochelle, New York, for Burger Beer of Cincinnati, Ohio. This mid-century electric advertising clock features a rectangular wooden frame with mitered corners. The clock face includes a composite surface with several three-dimensional embossed elements. The center displays the brand name BURGER in red block lettering. Positioned above the logo is an embossed plaque featuring a lion rampant in relief. Below the name are two embossed panels depicting a sheaf of grain and a hop cone, set above a brown embossed banner reading CINCINNATI. The lower section of the dial features the slogan A FINER BEER YEAR AFTER YEAR in alternating red and black text. The dial is composed of black block numerals from 1 to 12 with an outer minute track. It is fitted with two wide red-painted metal hands and a black sweep second hand. The manufacturer mark PAM CLOCK CO INC NEW ROCHELLE NY is printed at the bottom edge of the dial face. The reverse is enclosed by a galvanized metal plate.
