FOR PICK UP OR TRANSPORT ONLY: This is a mid-century rotary power lawn mower, identified as The Century model, manufactured by The Eclipse Lawn Mower Co. of Prophetstown, Illinois. The mower features a distinctive three-wheel design, consisting of two large fixed front wheels and a smaller rear caster wheel mounted on a pivot. The frame is constructed with a pressed steel deck and a tubular metal Y-handle assembly with integrated hand grips. The unit is powered by a vertical-shaft Briggs and Stratton internal combustion engine.
Visible markings include an identification plate on the engine reading: BRIGGS & STRATTON CORP. MILWAUKEE 1, WIS., U.S.A., MODEL 6BH, TYPE NO. 900601, SERIAL NO. 450854. The engine also features a front decal reading: THE Century BY Eclipse. A metal identification plate on the mower deck specifies: Eclipse THE WORLD’S BEST LAWN MOWER, SERIES No 2005, MADE BY THE ECLIPSE LAWN MOWER CO. PROPHETSTOWN, ILLINOIS.
