Description
A pair of vintage ceramic whiskey decanters from the Mr. Lucky series, produced by the Hoffman Distilling Company. Both items are fashioned from painted ceramic and feature leprechaun characters. The first decanter, dated 1972, depicts a seated leprechaun figure holding a mug and a pot of gold while smoking a pipe, standing on a base decorated with grass and coins. The reverse base is embossed with the Hoffman Distilling Co. name and the year 1972. The second decanter, dated 1973 and labeled Mr. Lucky Series – Mr. Doctor, features a leprechaun in a lab coat and stethoscope examining a frog perched on a mushroom. This figure includes a wind-up musical movement with a metal key at the base. The reverse of the 1973 model is embossed with the series title, name, and manufacturer details. Both decanters are empty and were originally used for promotional whiskey sales.
