Description
This lot consists of two vintage mantel clocks with different movements. The first is an Alaron mechanical shelf clock housed in a dark-stained wood case featuring a decorative carved crest and turned pilaster columns. The silver-tone brushed metal dial is marked Alaron 21 DAY KOREA and features black Roman numerals and two winding arbors. The movement is a 21-day mechanical wind-up type with visible internal chime rods and a swinging brass-tone pendulum. A winding key is included. The second clock is a Danbury Clock Company mantel clock with an arched honey-toned wood case. The gold-tone brushed metal dial features black Roman numerals, ornate hands, and decorative corner spandrels, with the inscriptions Tempus Fugit and Westminster Chime. This clock utilizes an electronic quartz movement marked Made in China and includes an internal speaker for the chime. A brass presentation plaque on the base is inscribed Kentucky Overall Service 1956 – 2000. The original instruction sheet is located inside the rear compartment.
