Description
This lot consists of three painted cast iron items including a horse-drawn stagecoach, a steam locomotive with matching coal tender, and a mechanical truck-shaped nutcracker. The stagecoach features a brown-painted body with functional yellow-painted spoked wheels and is pulled by a two-horse team. The horses are painted white with black accents on the manes, tails, and hooves, and are connected to the coach by a gold-tone metal chain. The steam locomotive and tender are painted black with gold-painted accents on the boiler bands, cab, and tender sides. The number 50 is painted in gold on the locomotive cab and both sides of the tender. The locomotive features red-painted wheels and a small gold-tone bell mounted on the boiler. The truck nutcracker is designed as a red pickup truck with a cream-colored bed, mounted on a solid brown rectangular base. The truck bed features the raised text CHESTNUT CREEK, and the doors are decorated with a decal of a red barn and the text CHESTNUT CREEK. The mechanical lever-action mechanism is operated by pressing down on the red handle formed by the top of the truck cab and bed.
