Description
This collection consists of four red-painted tubular kerosene hurricane lanterns of varying sizes and manufacturers. The group includes a Dietz Comet lantern featuring a base embossed with DIETZ COMET and a glass globe embossed with DIETZ SYRACUSE NY USA. A larger lantern is embossed SWALLOW BRAND on the fuel reservoir. A third lantern features the embossed mark WINGED MOON on the lower body. The fourth lantern includes a fuel cap marked HEMEI and a modern white safety sticker reading DO NOT FILL ABOVE THIS LINE. The lanterns are constructed from stamped metal with glass globes protected by wire cages and feature top bails for carrying or hanging.
